Evolve Social is proud to announce that together with local agency Rinsed Insights that we will be bringing internationally renowned social media event, Social Media Week (SMW) to Australia, Sydney for the first time this September.
SMW is a global initiative that started in 2009 and now takes place in 26+ cities each year during key dates in February and September, with more than 1,000 events and 1,745 speakers worldwide. SMW Sydney will take place from September 22nd – 26th, 2014, alongside simultaneous events in other key cities around the globe.
As part of the Social Media Campaign for Sculpture by the Sea we teamed up with the talented Gareth from GC Imagery to produce a series of videos to record for posterity this great local event.

As part of Evolve’s engagement with Sculpture by the Sea Bondi 2013 we arranged a Instameet hosted by Lauren Bath and the local Instagrammers Sydney Photo community.

Here is a a short interview we produced at this years Sculpture by the Sea with Instagram celeb Lauren Bath to promote the #SxSmoments photo contest.
This year’s #SxSbondi13 exhibition which Evolve is a sponsor of will see the launch of both a Photo Contest, and a Photowalk hosted by Instagram celebrity Lauren Bath.
The photo contest will offer one lucky photographer the chance to win a trip to Perth as one of as Sculpture by the Sea’s official photographers to celebrate the 10th anniversary of their Cottesloe exhibition.
All entrants have to do is capture and share their favourite moments from Sculpture by the Sea, Bondi 2013 on Instagram using the hashtag #SxSmoments.
In conjunction with the contest there will also be a Photo walk /Instameet starting at Tamarama Beach On Saturday October 26th at 4pm with Lauren Bath who will take a tour around the exhibition and provide some of the tips and tricks that have made her one of the most in demand photographers in Australia right now.
We first came across the name William Patino from Instagram Celebrity Lauren Bath who had just come back from Wollongong on the NSW South Coast raving about this photographer who does amazing landscapes so we had to find out what all the fuss was about..
Needless to say we were instantly drawn to his stunning landscape photography that shows off the NSW South Coast in all it’s splendour as well as some great images from trips to Canada, The Rocky Mountains and our very own Blue Mountains.
However, when we dug a little deeper we found that the reason for William’s rise as a Instagram photographer is his clever use of a combination of great images, video and inspirational copy to build a deeper emotional connection with his audience.
